
Work Space
Bill Godfrey makes his home & studio in a refurbished industrial building on the banks of the Allegheny River near Pittsburgh, PA. The space was designed & remodeled by Bill using recycled, vintage and found materials. The studio overlooks a beautiful flower garden that features a mosaic patio. His space won a design award from Pittsburgh Magazine.

Education
Bill received a B.A. in Art Education from Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA where he received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2003. He also completed a year of graduate work at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Bill worked at the Carngeie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA where he taught classes, gave docent tours and developed educational curriculum.

New Works
For decades Bill worked with kite fabric, but recently he has returned to working with wood, a technique of "wood mosaic" he developed years ago. His large scale "fabric installations"were installed across the United States and all the continents of the world. You can see examples of his fabric work on the website www.billbanner.com.

Collections
Bill has a long and extensive history of exhibiting his art work. Clients commissioning his work include corporations, museums, hospitals, universities, churches synagogues, art festivals and private collectors .
